Who is responsible

The data controller is whoever maintains this site. For any privacy question, including exercising your rights, write to oraviva@santaclaraanova.pt.

What we keep: nothing

Your conversations with Clara are not stored. We do not record the text of questions or answers, we do not store your IP address, and we use no cookies for the chat.

The conversation history lives only in your browser tab, so Clara can follow the thread. Close the tab and it is gone.

We keep only technical counts with no link to you: how many requests were made and what they cost, so the monthly budget can be controlled. None of it can identify a person.

What leaves here

To answer, your question is sent to Microsoft Azure OpenAI, on servers in the European Union. Microsoft retains prompts and answers for up to 30 days for abuse detection, then deletes them. That happens on Microsoft’s side and we cannot switch it off, so we would rather say so.

For that reason, please do not type personal data, yours or anyone else’s, into the chat. Clara does not need it to answer questions about the village.

To tell people from bots, the site uses Cloudflare Turnstile. Cloudflare processes the technical data of that challenge under its own policy.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection regarding your personal data. As nothing is stored on this side, in practice there are no records of ours to consult or delete.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD (cnpd.pt).

Changes

If we ever begin keeping conversations, for example to improve Clara’s answers, this page will be updated before that happens and will say what is kept, for how long, and who is responsible.
